Siblings, Smiling and Scheming...Oh My!
Curfew Chasing Purple Martins!
Our dog, Curfew, will chase the birds at the lake for hours. The birds egg him on and swoop down right above his head, which often causes him to change direction. We really think he believes he will catch one, and we let him chase them because it helps to get the energy out. For those of you who have had the pleasure of meeting Curfew, you know it is hard to make a dent in his energy reserve!

July 4th at The Storks Nest
A picture of the sign on the road in front of the lake house! The house is called The Storks Nest because two baby doctors own it. We have enjoyed many fun summer weekends there and now that the renovations are complete, we may go year round.
Mason working very hard to light the fire with a flint! He did great on his second attempt at this...despite his frustration with Doc and Uncle Jere for continually offering him lighter fluid. He wanted that feeling of accomplishment in lighting it all by himself, and he got it!
Kenzie is helping Uncle Dr. Stephen with his new hair do! This fun green stuff grows on the bottom of the lake, boats chop it up and every now and then enough comes by in a big pile that we can play with it!!! I however, usually scream when it touches me if I don't know it is coming. Kenzie likes to be pushed down in the water so she can pull it up from the bottom...oh to be a kid again!
The hair makeover is complete, but if I were Stephen, I would find a new stylist! Kenzie had lots of fun. Stephen was very patient with her and played right along. He is going to be a good daddy!
Kenzie and John having lots of fun floating on the river! These tubes blew up in a storm from somewhere down the lake. We left them out on the dock to be picked up and played with them when we were down there!

Redbirds Outing!
We went last night to a Redbirds game with some friends! It was a great night to be outside enjoying the weather. Even though we ate dinner at the house right before the game, the kids became hungry for second dinner as soon as we entered the ballpark. So, they got to enjoy some ballpark food too. You will see that Mason's snack of choice was cotton candy which really should be called cotton cavity!!! Talk about some sugar! And Kenzie enjoyed some dip-n-dots.
