Baseballs, Home Sales and Tubing...OH MY!

Well, it has been a while since I posted anything on here, mostly because of how insanely busy we have been! The past 2 weeks have been full of baseball and more baseball. Both the boys made it to the semi-finals in their tournaments and my parents even made it for an exciting night of double headers for Justus and Maison getting to pitch! We are very proud of the boys and what a great season they both had! Kenz had fun playing T-ball as well, and surprised herself in the last 2 games as she made contact with the ball as it was pitched over the plate to her!

In other news, as we were sitting in the bleachers at Maison's game this past Friday night waiting to find out the details about an offer on my house, my realtor called to let us know that we had actually gotten another offer. We accepted the second offer and are supposed to close June 23rd!!! So, in the midst of wedding party chaos, we will also be moving!

This weekend John and the kids and I are traveling to the lake to spend time with my fam! Stephen, Cecilia, Matthew, Mom and Dad, Granny D, and my Aunt Ceese and Uncle Ricky will be there too!!! The picture above was taken last summer. Hopefully we will get some tubing in this weekend in the midst of relaxing and soaking up some sunshine! What about you...any fun plans for the long weekend???

Best Birthday Card Ever...

Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.
-Psalm 66:16

I wish I had a scanner so you could see the card the kids made me for my birthday, but since I don't, I just wanted to share their words, so you could see how awesome our God is and how much He has been at work over the past year. These words may not seem like much, but they were huge to me. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for us, God is revealing Himself daily...

"Dear Mary DeVan, thank you for everything you have done for us this year! It has been a blast. I hope that you have fun the rest of our time together." - Justus

"I hope that it has been the best year of your life. Thank you for being nice to me. I have had a great time with you. Thank you for being kind, considerate and fun to be with." -Maison

"Happy birthday, Mary DeVan." -Kenzie

School's Out For Summer!

I had my A&P final last night and do not have to return to the class room until August!!! YIPPEE! Last night was a celebration...I was so excited. My teacher told me I was the only one who had turned in my test smiling. Evidently the test was the hardest one yet...but all I could think about was how I now have all summer off and can focus on spending more time with John, the kids and my friends I haven't seen in ages! And enjoy this wedding my mom's been so awesome to plan! That said, being the perfectionist I am, I did check my answers before I left, so I either made an 89.466 or an A...we'll see...either way, it is over! (Update...I made an A!)

Along with celebrating being finished with school for the semester, I got to have my postponed b-day celebration last night with 4 of my very favorite people in all the world! John, being the awesome cook that he is, cooked up a delicious meal that even had pretty presentation. The kids kinda looked at it funny, like "what is this and will it hurt me?" If it isn't covered in ketsup (that was for Matt) then it gets funny looks, at least from Mais and Kenz. Kenzie made me a yummy chocolate cake with sprinkles (evidently her piece didn't have enough sprinkles, so she had to take a few off the rest of the cake with her finger...along with lots of icing). And Justus, Mais and Kenzie made me a very sweet card! It was a bummer to have to study on my birthday, but very fun to drag out the celebration!
