Painting Update...

Here is what I have done so far on my painting! I might be finished, but want to think about it a little before I decide for sure. I took 4 classes with an art instructor at Hobby Lobby and really enjoyed it. The classes were over before I finished my painting, so I decided I would try finishing it myself, with a little insight from John and Kenzie on what they thought would look nice! John thought the people on the path would add to painting's story. Kenzie liked all the pretty flower colors. So, here you have it! I hope it is the first of many more paintings! Thanks John for such a fun birthday gift!!!

Summer Soccer Skills

Kenzie made the competitive soccer team this year! She has been having practices the whole month of June, where they are working on ball handling skills. They are also practicing with several older kids on our coaches other team. The older kids help the younger kids learn the drills. This was much needed for many of the girls. We are very excited for her to have such great coaching this coming season and the opportunity to play with some of her friends from soccer seasons past!
 
 
 
 

Milan Golf Tournament

These pictures are from Mason's first golf tournament of the year. This tournament was in Milan, TN. For the first few tournaments, the kids were allowed to have a caddy. Mason asked Doc to caddy for him in this one and talked about how neat it would be if he won this tournament. Mason and Doc had a lot of fun throughout the round and were both very excited to find out that Mason won! He shot 35, which was one under par! We are so excited for him! He played in another tournament yesterday in Covington where he was two shots off the lead. Here are a few pictures from his Milan tournament that tell the story better than I ever could!
 
 
 
 

Blog Changes...

After Kenzie's spend the night company left this morning, we sat down and started playing with our blog. This is what we came up with! It was fun to have another female opinion, and I think Kenzie enjoyed having some input! Hope you enjoy our new layout!

Acrylic Painting Class

 This is what I have done so far in the class John gave me for my birthday! Mostly, this picture is for my Mom...if she can find her way to my blog! My instructor sits at the front of the class and paints the same painting I am painting, so I just sorta follow along on my canvas. It has been a fun class and I have been the only student for the past two weeks, which makes it even more productive! This week, for homework, I am supposed to work on the path and bridge, and anything else I think I can tackle. We made a lot of progress on the painting in class tonight.
