Party Planning!

A little girl in our house is going to turn 9 in 11 days! I cannot believe it!!! She was just a tiny 5 year old when John and I got married, and now she is in 3rd grade, reading, writing in cursive, doing multiplication and developing the cutest, most fun personality. In years past we have had a pumpkin carving party to celebrate her birthday since it is the day before Halloween. We started having slumber parties a couple years ago instead. When we asked her what she wanted to do this year, she wanted to have a party that would involve her whole soccer team, which is 13 girls...we decided that was a few too many to have sleep over. Can you imagine ever getting that many girls to go to sleep!?! So this year, we are back to pumpkin carving and hoping for good weather and a fun turn out! Kenz and I sat down together and created her Evite, which of course, she wanted to do from scratch! She got her little creative juices flowing and came up with a cute birthday cake pumpkin theme. She has requested some homemade cupcakes...the same ones I made for John's birthday in August. Dark chocolate cake with peanut butter icing = Deliciousness! So, now we just have to come up with a few other fun snacks, activities and party favors!

Sounds like SOOOO much fun! You might string a pumpkin charm on a string for their favor. Kenzie is so creative....no doubt Hobby Lobby can accommodate your buying needs. Of course if you don't mind the sugar a mix of salted p-nuts and candy corn in cello baggies are always a hit! Can't wait for the pics!!

Sounds like FUN! I wishi I could be there to celebrate with you guys. I feel like I miss so much of life with the kids. I'm pretty sure we can't move to Tennessee with our business here. Could you guys move to California? LOL! Have a great time celebrating Kenzie's big day! :o)
